Proverb:
A short, pithy statement of a general truth, one that condenses common experience into memorable form. Or, as defined by Miguel de Cervantes, author of Don Quixote, "a short sentence based on long experience."

Over the years MrKent has carried a paper and pen in his pocket in order to record various thoughts and ideas that have passed through his mind. Sometimes it was the source for a poem or song and occasionally the source of a proverb. Now, he often calls this list of sayings his "Corn field." That is because you will find that many you read are definitely corny!

Whatever you may wish to call them is OK with MrKent. They have been put here for your enjoyment and pleasure.
